Karec “K-Rock2525″ Terrell is chipping up nicely here on Day 2A. In one hand at his table a player raised to 1.4K from early position and received four callers including Terrell from the small blind. The flop fell Q
8
7
and the blinds checked to the original raiser who bet 1.9K. A player in middle position called, the button folded and Karec raised to 6.5K. The big blind folded, the original raiser called and the player in middle position angrily folded. Both players checked the 4
on the turn and the J
on the river.
“Ace-queen no heart,” said Terrell before showing A
Q
. His opponent mucked.
“Nice six-outer,” he said to Karec. Terrell shot him a confused look. “I had jacks.”
“You had a set then,” said another player at the table.
The entire table burst into laughter, including Eli Elezra who consoled the fibber. “It’s OK,” he told him. “We all lie in this game.”
Nick “Grip” Grippo attempted a bluff on the other side of the Blue Section, but was caught red handed. Grippo opened to 1,475 from middle position with the blinds at 300/600/75. Action folded to an older gentleman in the blinds who three-bet to 3.3K. Nick called and the flop came J
T
6
. Before the three cards even hit the felt, the man in the blinds tossed six yellow 1K chips in the middle. Grippo called and the dealer burned and turned the 7
. Without thinking the man in the blinds bet 15K. Nick waved his hand and announced all in. The man in the blinds sighed and began cutting out a call. It was 42.4K more and if he lost he would be left with just over 10K. Finally, after minutes of thought, he slammed a multi-colored stack of chips in the middle for the call. Nick wrapped the table and turned over A
3
for just an ace high flush draw. The man in the blinds tabled K
K
. Grippo needed an ace or a club on the river, but the T
was neither and Nick was eliminated.
Mike Sexton knocked a player out on the last hand before the dinner break. No he didn’t have pocket queens, but his A
K
dominated his opponent’s A
T
. The board ran Q
J

and Sexton scooped the pot to jump to 136K.
Tables are breaking rapidly in the Rio and a couple ridiculous tables have formed in the Blue section of the Amazon Room. We doubt they’re real.
One features Ludovic “Cutsss” Lacay, Darren Elias, Andrew “foucault” Brokos and Isaac “westmenloAA” Baron, while another has Keven “stamdogg” Stammen, Chris “PiMaster” Viox, Tim “tmay420″ West, Craig “MrCasino” Gray and Erik Seidel. West is hanging on by a thread, however. On the last hand before break a player limped from under the gun, another limped in late position, the small blind completed and West checked his option in the big blind. The flop rolled out Q-4-2 and West got it all in with 4-2 against the under-the gun limper, who had pocket aces. The turn bricked but the river brought another Queen, giving West’s opponent a higher two pair and leaving Tim with just 1.3K going into the dinner break.
The player are now on their 90-minute dinner break after the green 25-denomination chips were raced off. They will return around 8:20 p.m. Vegas time. The blinds will be 400/800 with an ante of 100.
