Junglen, Sebok, Shorr, and Feldman Eliminated by Court on 12.13.08, 11:03 pm

The deep starting stacks give a lot of play, but the 4th level of the day is the 200/400 blind level with a 50 ante and pots start getting big. Players that have not been able to get much going throughout the day see their stacks fall into the range where getting it in is often the right play, and the result is a pick up in the number of eliminations.

The recently fallen include Adam “A_Junglen” Junglen, Shannon Shorr, Peter “Nordberg” Feldman and Joe Sebok. Sebok lost most of his chips early in the day when his flopped full house ran into a turned bigger full house. Sebok was able to grind the short stack for a couple of levels but has been eliminated before a comeback could be mounted. Shorr ran pocket queens into pocket aces and on a 6-6-2 flop he got the rest of his chips in with his queens and was quickly called by the other player with aces.

Hunter “The_Hunt_D” Frey (left) was able to pick up a chunk of chips at the expense of Joe Tehan. On a KJ4 flop Tehan checked to Frey who bet 4,500. Joe then raised to 10,875 and after long thought Frey called. Each decision in this hand, by both players, seemed tortured. The table has had some long drawn out hands throughout the day, but has also had a lot of action and saw two bustouts in the first level. Both players took their time before checking on the 8 turn. With the 7 river Tehan again checked and Hunter bet 18,500. The bet represented over half of Tehan’s remaining chips, and after counting out what it would take to make the call and seeing what he would have left, Tehan slowly folded his hand sending the pot to Frey.
