Junglen, Little, Frey and Buchanan Eliminated by Court on 04.20.09, 9:10 pm

As the day continues on the players are starting to drop out.  The blinds recently went up to 800 / 1,600 with a 200 ante and the previous 600 / 1,200 level was also enough to put some pressure on players and resulted in some eliminations.  The field has dropped under 220 players with less than 3 hours of play time remaining in day 2.

Recent eliminations include Adam “A_Junglen” Junglen, Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little, Hunter “The_Hunt_D” Frey and Shawn Buchanan.  Junglen was sent to the rail when he check called a shove on the turn of a T-T-3-2 board with pocket nines.  The other player had the AQ for a flush draw and two overcards and a spade on the river gave him the flush and sent Junglen to the sidelines.

Little fell when his AK ran into KK, while Frey saw the last of his chips go in the middle with his pocket jacks against another players pocket queens having him nothced and busting him from the tournament.  Shawn Buchanan was in a position to double up at the expense of Phil “USCPhildo” Collins (right) but an ace on the river saved Phil and while eliminating Shawn.  On the 9548 turn Shawn moved all in for 54k and Collins went into the tank.  After long thought he finally called.  Shawn had turned two pair with his 98 and was ahead of the AA of Collins but with the A on the river Phil was able to win the pot.

Matt “Mattg1983″ Graham (left) was able to bust Rhynie Campbell when he made a straight against Campbell’s set of eights.  After adding Rhynie’s chips to his stack Matt got involved in a pot with Paul Wasicka on the last hand before the break.  Wasicka had been moved into the seat Rhynie had vacated and raised a pot preflop.  Graham called  and on the 743 flop Paul checked to Matt who bet 5,600.  Wasicka raised to 15,600 and Graham put in another bet for 18,200 more.  Paul made the call and the turn was the K.  Both players checked and on the 9 river Wasicka again sent the action to Graham.  Matt bet 28,600 and Paul called showing the K5 and Matt disgustedly tossed his QQ face up into the muck.

Jonathan “FatalError” Aguiar
was able to eliminate David Peat and had almost 200k chips after the hand.  Justin Young is still pacing the field with over 500k, adding a small chunk to his stack by eliminating Gavin Smith.  Steve “MrSmokey1″ Billirakis has over 400k and continues to chip up.
