It didn’t take long after reaching the money for 9 more players to be eliminated, bringing the field down to the final 36 playesr and ending play for the night. The remaining entrants will come back tomorrow at noon and play down to the final 6. Faraz “The-toilet” Jaka was among the chip leaders for much of the tournament but faltered on the money bubble and ended up eliminated shortly after reaching the money in 42nd place for $12,500.
Joe Sebok took a big hit once in the money as well, losing a 385k pot to Mike Kamran when Sebok ran his AK into the pocket kings of Kamran in a spot where it looked like Mike was likely to be squeezing. After losing the pot Sebok was down to around 100k, about where he finished the day with a final tally of 116,500. Marco “CrazyMarco” Johnson (right) never had a huge stack but was able to hold steady for much of the day and came on a little at the end to build his stack to a workable 149,500 going into day 3 play where the blinds will stay at 2k / 4k with a 50o ante for another hour before going up.
Mohsin “ChicagoCards1″ Charania and Vivek “Psyduck” Rajkumar both fall in the low 100’s in the chip counts, coming in at 121k and 124k respectively. Vivek was in good spirits at the end of the day, commenting on his “swongs” in regard to the drop from nearly 400k down to his ending stack of 124k.
Tyler “Brainwash” Cornell (left) will be among the leaders going into play tomorrow with a solid 425k chips. Full chip counts will be available shortly.
