Introductions

After a long and hearty round of introductions, including Jeffrey Pollack thanking pretty much everyone who has set foot inside the Casino at the Empire over the last two weeks by name, the players are finally about to begin play. Jack Effel gave each player a personalized introduction, noting their poker accomplishments and a few fun facts about each, even calling out chip leader Jason “treysfull21″ Mercier for being to cheap to pay for a hotel here in London, instead choosing to sleep on a friend couch. Cheers to the frugal.
The setting hasn’t changed much since last night, everyone still has the chips they finished with obviously, the table is in the same place and there is still a crowd gathered around, though at this early hour the number of spectators is much less than it was late last night.
A picture is worth a thousand words they say so to save some writing here is what it looks like from a birds eye view. The one seat is in the upper left and starting there the players are Barry Shulman, Jason Mercier (already sitting close to the prize money), Praz Bansi, Markus Ristola, Chris Bijorn, James Akenhead, Daniel Negreanu (in two tone hat bottom right), Antoine Saout (bottom center back of his head visible) and Matt Hawrilenko.
