The $50K HORSE event is officially underway in the Orange Section of the Amazon Room. Here are the PocketFivers we’ve spotted so far:
Steve “MrSmokey1″ Billirakis
Justin Bonomo
Zac “Zacpacker” Fellows
Scott “BigRiskky” Clements
Jon “PearlJammer” Turner
Justin “Boosted J” Smith
Pat “TorontoToro” Pezzin
Corey Zeidman
Clements (pictured right) added some chips to his 150K starting stack early and it’s not a surprise that he was playing Omaha Hi-Low at the time. Clements raised before the flop with the blinds at 400/800 and the limits set at 800/1600. The player in seat seven called and the flop was 6

. Clements led out for a bet and the other player called. The turn was the 4
and both players checked. The river was the 4

Clements won the high side of pot with trip fours and split the low half with A-2-3-4-6 to take three-quarters of the pot.
Fellows got involved in an Omaha Hi-Low hand with Dan Shak. The flop was A

in a limped pot and both players checked. The turn was the 6
. Fellows bet and Shak called to see the A
on the river. Zac bet again and Shak made the call. Fellows turned over A

but couldn’t beat Shak’s A

“Nice hand, sir,” Fellows said with a smile. “You missed a good value bet out there.” Shak said he wasn’t too crazy about his eight kicker and the players shared a laugh.
Billirakis, who is seated at the same table as Bonomo, lost a pot to Jerry Buss during the Omaha Hi-Low round but got some of those chips back against another player once the game switched to Stud. We’ll give you the hands firsts, then the betting action. It’s a bit anticlimactic but much easier to follow.

Billirakis raised on third street and got re-raised by the player in seat two. Billirakis made the call and the players were each given their next card. On fourth street Billirakis’s opponent led out and he called. On fifth street seat two led out again and Billirakis made a raise. The other player called and it was off to sixth street. Billirakis bet first this time and his opponent made the call. Both player were dealt their final card face down and Billirakis quickly made another bet. The other player slowly squeezed his last card, then took a while to contemplate his decision. Eventually he decided to fold and Billirakis scooped a nice pot in the early going.
The $1.5K PLO Hi-Low event is just getting back underway and the $2.5K Mixed Hold’em Final Table has started over at the ESPN feature table.
