The Home Stretch

For the remaining 490 players in the 1K stimulus event, Day 2 is an hour away. The players are on a short break before finishing Level 10 and ending Day 1B. Shaundle “CrAzYSiXeS66″ Pruitt (pictured right) looks to finish the day strong, and just chipped up when he shoved all in against an opponent. After tanking for quite awhile, his opponent smacked the table and mucked his cards. Pruitt was all smiles while stacking his newly acquired chips, and sits with just under 30K.
Steve “time4badbeat” Wagner and Steve “whitealroker” Bent are trending up as well. Wagner has 38K, and Bent is sitting around 21K. Justin “fluffdog” Filtz is still alive, floating around 16.6K.
Brock “t_soprano” Parker doubled up a couple of players in the last level to drop his stack down to a still healthy 12K, but his greater concern seemed to be just how badly he was running at table draws. They are breaking down the tables in the Orange section and Brock kept getting sent to a table that would then break fifteen minutes after he arrived. He guessed he’s been moved seven times over the course of the day, but thankfully we saw him making his way into the middle of the Blue section, which, based on the breaking order, means his new table will likely be his last stop of the night.
Recent busts include Jon “pokertrip” Friedberg and Seth “grtwhitehoop” Fischer.
WSOP 2009 Event #3 $1.5K Omaha H/L
Thang Luu won Event #4 for the second year in a row. Luu defended his bracelet against 918 runners this year, the biggest 1.5K Omaha H/L field the WSOP has ever see. He takes home $263,125 and his second WSOP bracelet for his efforts. Congratulations Thang!
