As day 3 play works into the third level of the day the money bubble is closing in. Both Randy “Randers” Haddox (left) and Jeff “YoungSupremacy” Hakim have recently seen their tournaments fall just short of making it into the money.

Haddox was eliminated when he moved all in over the top of a raise from Daniel Negreanu and after some thought Daniel called with the AT. Haddox had the A6 and with a ten on the flop he found himself out the door short of the money.

For Hakim (below right) his elimination came even closer to being in the money, with only 55 players left when he busted. Hakim was all in with AQ against pocket fours and with no help on the board he was out of the tournament.

Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little won one of the biggest pots off the tournament without a showdown against Daniel. Negreanu had opened for 9,500 and Little raised to 32k. Daniel called and on the K52 flop checked over to Jon. Little bet 45k and Daniel then raised to 95k. Little paused only a brief moment before announcing he was all in. “Count it,” Daniel replied. Once the chips were counted Daniel found out it would cost him 41,700 more to make the call into the pot of around 260k. “I think I just saved myself 41,700,” Negreanu said as he rambled through his thought process while Little sat statue like, not moving and not saying anything. Negreanu decided Little must have AK and folded his hand, surrendering the pot to Little.

Jon “pokertrip” Friedberg moved all in to pick up a pot at his table after 2 players had limped in. He has about 140k after winning the small pot.

Doug “dougmanct” Mandeville is in the barely hanging on category, and with Phil Ivey to his left he isn’t getting all that many chances to get his chips in the pot without being guaranteed of a call in at least one spot. Doug is down to around 40k with blinds of 2k / 4k and a 400 chip ante.
