Griffin Busts Campbell, Schleger’s Big Stack Dips by AdamJ on 05.31.08, 9:52 pm

A clash between two titans of tournament poker resulted in an early exit in the 1.5k NL event. Gavin Griffin raised under the gun to 950 with 150-300 blinds and a 50 ante. A middle position player called and James “POKERPRO33″ Campbell (pictured left) moved all-in from the big blind for 7k more. Griffin called leaving 18k behind. His 88 held up against Campbell’s AJ.

Another online heavyweight’s chip stack has been moving in a different direction.

Shane “Shaniac” Schleger opened from middle position for 1,200 with blinds at 200-400 with a 50 ante. A player from the big blind moved all-in for 5,450 more. Schleger, with about 48k in his stack called, revealing the KJ and trailing his opponents 77. The board bricked out for Schleger, doubling the short stack up, but still leaving Shane with one of the bigger stacks at 42k.
