We’ve already lost five players in the $10K PLO World Championship during the first level of play. There are now 20 players left vying for the WSOP bracelet and the $679,379 first place prize.
Noah “fouruhaters” Schwartz, Barry “barryg1″ Greenstein, Matt “plattsburgh” Vengrin and Matt “mattg1983″ Graham (pictured at left) are all still a part of the final three tables.
After re-raising before the flop and getting a call, Graham led out for a pot-sized bet of 183K after seeing a flop of K

. The player in seat four then went about as deep down into the tank as one can go, thinking for several minutes, periodically interjecting.
“Damn.”
Then more thinking.
“So sick.”
Some shaking of the head.
“Second hand…”
Apparently it was too early in the day for this kind of decision. He capped it all off with a curse word before eventually having the clock called on him. Graham had about 320K behind, which the other player had well covered.
Eventually the floor person began to count down from 10 and he got to zero without Graham’s opponent making a decision so his hand was declared dead. Before mucking his cards, though, he angrily flipped over Q

for an open-ended straight flush draw.
The other players at the table were amazed he folded, openly questioning the play.
“You have the nut flush draw?” he asked Graham, who smiled and said he did not.
With the blinds at 6K/12K, Greenstein (pictured at right) is now a short stack with his 180K after doubling up David Williams when he missed all his straight and flush draws on the river against Williams’ pocket kings.
Day three of the $1.5K NLHE event as well as day two of the $2.5 Mixed event are just about to start up, so we’ll get you updates from the floor as soon as we can.
