Day 2 of the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic is about to get underway and players are taking their seats and unbagging their chips. For the moment, the man to catch is Darryll “DFish” Fish, who is the chip leader with 236,625 chips, but P5ers Jon “PearlJammer” Turner, Billy “Patrolman35″ Kopp and Cory “UGOPZD” Carroll are all in the top ten as well.
Keep in mind that registration still isn’t closed for the tournament either. With play about to commence, the tournament clock shows 308 players and counting as players like Mike “The Mouth” Matusow register for the event. Those who wait until the absolute last minute will have until around 5PM today to get in on the action.
BLUFF and CardPlayer’s respective Player of the Year front runners Jason “treysfull21″ Mercier and Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin are still both in the hunt here at the Bellagio, as is Adam “Roothlus” Levy and his roommate Amit “amak316″ Makhija. Levy and Makhija are seated side by side, which marks the second day here that Levy has had to contend with a good friend seated to his immediate right or left (yesterday he was next to longtime pal Steve “MrTimCaum” O’Dwyer).
