The final 10 players at the WPT Championship stayed intact after almost 3 hours of play before the first elimination. The most interesting happening up until Bruno Fitoussi’s bustout came when Ran Azor folded pocket kings face up to Christian “charder” Harder preflop. Harder had opened for 225k and Azor raised to 675k with about 3 million left behind. Harder moved all in having him covered and Azor ended up giving the hand up in a fold that left most of the room scratching their head.
Bruno Fitoussi wasn’t willing to fold kings preflop and called the all in of Yevgeniy “Atimos” Timoshenko. Shannon Shorr had raised to 560k after Bruno opened for 210k. Timoshenko then moved all in for a little over 2 million and Bruno called. Shorr folded and Bruno was left with his K

of Timoshenko. An A-4-4 flop gave Yevgeniy the lead and after a 7 on the turn and 6 on the river Bruno Fitoussi (right) was eliminated in 10th place for $98,050 after getting it in good preflop for a pot worth around 5 million chips.
With Fitoussi out the field is down to 9 and needs only 3 more elimination to set the final 6 players for the televised final table. Harder continues to add chips to his stack and has almost a 2 to1 chip lead over second place with his 9.4 million chips compared to the roughly 5 million for Timoshenko and Scotty Nguyen.
