Ryan “gotskillz” Fisler only had 35K when he got the rest of his stack in the middle for the last time. Fisler was called by Full Tilt pro Michael Craig and the hands were turned up. Fourth, fifth and sixth street were dealt and both hands looked like this:
Fisler: 8
5
-5
-9
-4
-6
Craig: 4
5
-T
-3
-6
-2
Craig flipped his last down card up and it was a J
. Ryan needed an ace, deuce, three or seven to win the pot. Unfortunately Fisler flipped over the K
and was eliminated in third place. For his efforts Ryan will take home $76,261.
The heads-up match between Craig and Jeffrey Lisandro didn’t last long. Lisandro had an impressive 10-1 chip advantage once it got down to two players and it only took a matter of minutes for Lisandro to finish Craig off and take down his third stud game bracelet of this Series and propel him into the lead in the Player of the Year race.
WSOP 2009 Event #47: $2.5K Mixed Hold’em
The players in the $2.5K Mixed Hold’em Event are currently on their ninety-minute dinner break and should resume play around 8:15PM PT. Of the 184 players enjoying their hour and half of leisure time, only one of them is doing so for the second time today. Alex “Kadabra” Keating (pictured right) had a bit of a mental scheduling snafu and accidentally left for dinner break at the conclusion of Level Four–over two hours ago. He returned midway through Level Six to discover that play had been going on without him for over an hour. He managed to work his 2K stack up near the 8K, but ended play and went on the actual dinner break with around 4.2K to his name. Keating took the whole thing in stride and was able to laugh about his mistake, however he did request that we do our best to make sure some of his friends, like Yevgeniy “atimos” Timoshenko be left in the dark about his slip up because of the relentless ribbing he’s going to get. So, obviously, if you know Yevgeniy personally and want to send the link to this post his way, we encourage you to do so ASAP.
While Keating was getting the time straight, Barry “barryg1″ Greenstein was able to pick up an enormous pot on the last hand before dinner break. With the betting limits 1,200/2,400 Barry raised from the hijack, Jonathan “FatalError” Aguiar reraised from the cutoff, Svetlana Gromenkova called from the button, and Roland de Wolfe 4-bet from the big blind. Greenstein called the raise, and Aguiar called, committing the remainder of his chips to the hand. Gromenkova called as well and they saw a flop of J
4

. Roland led out, Barry raised, Svetlana called, Roland reraised, and both Barry and Svetlana called.

With us so far? Okay, let’s continue…
The turn was the 6
and de Wolfe bet out once again. Both Greenstein and Gromenkova called and the group saw the 3
fall on the river. Roland bet one last time, Barry called, and Gromenkova folded. Aguiar, who spent most of the hand gathering his belongings and preparing for his impending free evening didn’t even bother to turn over his hand (which was ace high). Roland de Wolfe revealed pocket tens and winced when he saw that Greenstein’s J
T
had outflopped him. Barry’s pair of jacks was enough to scoop the large pot, eliminate Jon, and boost his chip stack up to 36K going into dinner.
