The Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic at the Bellagio is down to the final 6 players who are back today to play down to a champion on the World Poker Tour stage. The interviews and introductions were the first order of business and then after that play commenced and the final 6 have been feeling each other out and getting settled in at the table.
A relatively uneventful first 15 hands saw Evan McNiff win a decent pot off of Chino Rheem to take the chip lead with over 6.5 million while Chino drops to 3.5 million and third in the chip counts. Justin Young, Amnon Filippi and Hoyt Corkins are at the bottom of the pile, all just over the 2 million chip mark with the blinds at 30k / 60k with a 5k ante.
Steve Sung started the day as the chip leader with 5,885,000 and he is still around that amoung with about 5.6 million in chips, second only to McNiff.
