The $2K NLHE is down to the final nine players and it is also down a P5er. Peter “Nordberg” Feldman (pictured left) was eliminated by Eric “whItE_mAmbA” Ladny when Feldman moved all-in for the last of his chips with A
7
and Ladny called from the big blind with K-Q and managed to spike a king on the river to best Feldman’s ace-high and eliminate him in 11th place.
With Feldman’s chips and a few other big pots, Ladny is now the tournament chip leader with nine players remaining. P5ers Clark “snake8484″ Hamagami and Daniel “amichaikk” Makowsky are also part of the final nine and are sitting in the 5th and 6th chip positions respectively. Hamagami doubled with pocket nines during the last level. We didn’t catch the hand, but we saw the dealer counting down his stack with the 9
9
showing in front of Hamagami. The board read 7
4
4
6
K
, and whatever Hamagami’s opponent had, it wasn’t good enough to beat his nines. He had about 750K after the hand.
WSOP EVENT #35: $5K PLO
Over in the $5K PLO event Marco “CrazyMarco” Johnson bet 2,050 on a flop of Q

. Josh Arieh then re-raised to 6.5K more. After some thought, Marco raised enough to put Arieh all in and he made the call. The hands were turned up:
Johnson: A
5

Arieh: A

The turn was the T
, keeping Arieh’s set of sixes out front, but the river was the 7
, giving Johnson a straight. Arieh slammed the table when the river hit and made a quick exit.
Brock “t soprano” Parker, Vivek “psyduck” Rajkumar and Andy “BKiCe” Seth (pictured at right) all appear to have been eliminated from the tournament. If we find them in the crowd once again, we’ll be sure to let you know.
Here are some approximate chip counts from around the room:
Chris “Genius28” Lee – 35K
Jeff “ActionJeff” Garza - 35K
Jason “treysfull21” Mercier – 28K
Eric “Efro” Froelich – 25K
Scott “BigRiskky” Clements – 14K
WSOP 2009 Event #33: $10K LHE Championship
Pat “TorontoToro” Pezzin has spent the past hour on the comeback trail. He has vaulted up the chip counts from last to third as the field dwindled from ten to nine players. Daniel Alaei is currently the chip leader with over one million chips while Pezzin sits with 662K.
