Feldman and Calo Out, Brikis Chips Up by Rich on 07.02.09, 6:03 pm

The red carpet affair for Ante Up for Africa is over, so now we can focus on some poker!

Peter “Nordberg” Feldman started the day second in chips, but couldn’t get anything going and after a couple of tough hands has been eliminated. Feldman suffered a cooler on his last hand flopping set over set. Peter was unable to hit the one outer and hit the rail in 14th place. Surely this isn’t the result Feldman was hoping for, but $37,379 ain’t too shabby.

Frank “Frank1The1Tank” Calo (pictured left) made an early exit on Day 3. Calo was crippled when he ran pocket queens into a set of nines and got his stack in the very next hand holding 86. Sean Keeton, held KQ and a king high board spelled the end for Frank. Calo will have to settle with 16th place and $37,379.

Faraz “The-Toilet” Jaka is alive and well. Jaka is second in chips boasting a stack over 2 million. Josh “brikdog24″ Brikis has worked his way all the way up to 880K. Brikis started the day as our resident short stack, but a couple of double ups have him right in contention.

We are down to two tables with 12 players remaining and the minimum pay day is $52,296.

Boys and girls Mike Tyson is in the building.

No…no tiger.

Jason “treysfull21″ Mercier, Shaun Deeb, Adam “Roothlus” Levy, Justin Bonomo and Dutch “havoj” Boyd are also here to support the cause.

We tried to convince Kenny Smith to make a last longer bet with Charles Barkley. We can only hope Sir Charles accepted.
