A little nervous, a little excited, a little intimidated. Probably all 3. Having fun. Definitely. You can see it in the smile he can’t hide on his face. Daniel “poncholoco” Youngblood (left) is playing in his first ever major live tournament. This $10k buy in is somewhere in the range of $9,700 more than the next largest tournament Daniel has ever played in.
No worries, he is off to a good start and has increased his stack by 50% in the early going and is sitting with just over 45k going into the third level of play. The satellites here at Fallsview have a lot of excited first timers in the tournament, all hoping to take a shot and add their name to the list of WPT champions.
