Only 73 players remain in the $1.5K Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Event (#48) and all four P5ers that began the day are in good shape to make the money. Aaron “gotcha55″ Kanter risked guaranteeing himself at least $2,953 when he got involved in a pot with Brandon Cantu at the end of Level 11.
Cantu, who began the day fourth in chips with 104K, raised to 4.6K with blinds at 800/1600 and was re-potted by Kanter. Cantu called and the two saw a flop of K

“I just don’t have anything,” Cantu said as he saw Kanter’s hand. The turn and river were no help to Cantu and Kanter double to 37,000. Cantu is still among the chip leaders with 160K.
Others still alive include Trevor “DenYoungGun” Reader (45K), Stewart “StuMan23″ Yancik (28K) and Jesse “JMaster30″ Cohen (17K). The average stack is 45K.
WSOP 2009 Event #49: $50K Horse
You can add Annie Duke’s name to the list of P5ers playing in the prestigious $50K HORSE event today. Duke showed up before the first break of the day and is sitting at the same table as Justin “Boosted J” Smith.
Stud has been the game of choice so far today for Steve “MrSmokey1” Billirakis. During the most recent round of the game Billirakis completed to 300 with the limits set at 1K/2K. Greg Raymer called and the player in seat six raised. Both Billirakis and Raymer called. We’ll tell you now that Raymer didn’t make it past 4th street, which is where we caught back up with the action. The other players’ boards:
Billirakis: X-X-8

On fourth, seat six checked, Billirakis bet and Raymer and the other player called. Billirakis paired his eight on fifth street and led out for a bet. Raymer folded and the other player called. The action was the same on sixth and seventh streets with Billirakis betting and his opponent calling. Billirakis turned over 6

So far 85 players have registered for the event with almost an hour to go before registration closes.
