Eights Equal Pain for Crain by Brett on 06.24.09, 12:33 am

A large crowd has gathered over at the ESPN secondary table for the $2.5K Mixed Games final table and nobody has been disappointed by the endless action thus far. Chips have been moving back and forth between players since the table convened, but Eric “jakz101″ Crain was left with nothing after losing a coinflip to Jerrod Ankenman in the No Limit Hold ‘em round. Crain had K-Q against the pocket eights of Ankenman but was left drawing thin when Ankenman flopped a set on the A-T-8 board. Eric failed to hit one of his four outs on the turn and river and was sent the rail in sixth place, collecting $38,075 for his three days of work.

The five remaining players have gone on a short break. Chris “SLOPPYKLOD” Klodnicki and Jon “PearlJammer” Turner are on the short stacks while Ankenman maintains a commanding chip lead.

WSOP 2009 EVENT #46 $2.5K LIMIT OMAHA 8

The official number looks like 425 for Event #46. All of them have their sights on a bracelet, and if they are at Matt “mattg1983″ Graham’s table they have one right under their nose. Graham is showing off the new bling he won this morning and deservingly so. Matt made the comeback against Vitaly Lunkin for his second career bracelet.

JR “JR Hamilsbach” Hamilton is on a short stack with under 5K in chips, but he recently chipped up after chopping an opponent. The board read AT877 and Hamilton check called a bet on the river unfolding A934 for aces up and the second nut low. The better tabled K964 for a ten high straight and a worse low. The third player mucked and JR was shipped half the pot.

Shannon Shorr had half of a pot stolen from him on the river at an adjacent table. The board was 8327 and Shorr had been checked too and bet every street. The river fell the 3 and this time Shannon’s opponent bet. Shorr made the quick call showing AAJ4 for aces up and the nut low, but his opponent held AJT3 making trips on the river for half the pot.

WSOP 2009 EVENT #44 $2.5K RAZZ

We’re on the money bubble in Event #44 and one player who will not be cashing is Justin Bonomo. Bonomo recently hit the rail and his twitter hints at a couple of bad beats in consecutive hands.

Zac “Zacpacker” Fellows has also been eliminated.
