With the number of players remaining dropping to the low 60′ the money bubble is quickly approaching. The top 50 will make the money meaning less than 20% of the remaining players will not make it into the money. Joe “ender555″ Ebanks (left) was one of the recent eliminations, moving in for his last 36,500 only to run into another player with pocket aces. Joe picked up a diamond draw on the turn but missed on the river and was eliminated.
Kevin “BeL0WaB0Ve” Saul continues to be involved in a lot of pots at his table, recently getting mixed up with Will “The Thrill” Failla in a few hands. In the largest of the pots Saul check raised will all in on a board of J
T
7
and will called the rest of his stack with pocket aces. Kevin had KQ for an open ended straight draw, but the board came 7
6
and Will was able to double up to somewhere around 250k while Kevin dropped to around 140k.
Saul was able to get some chips back from will in a later pot when Kevin made a river call of a small bet from will with 2nd pair, fully expecting to be paying Will off but just now willing to surrender his hand to the small 20k bet into the large pot. Once Kevin called Failla announced he had a 9 for third pair and Kevin showed his jack that had made middle pair.
Earlier in the tournament Daniel Negreanu was slow rolled by Alfonso Cammarota, and had warned Alfonso that karma would be back to get him on the money bubble. Daniel had estimated that Cammarota would take a bad beat with 54 players remaining, and he was close. With about 70 players left Alfonso was all in with AJ against Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little’s A7, but the door card was the 7
and though Alfonso picked up all kinds of draws he missed on the turn and river and was eliminated.
Little was also able to win a small pot from Randy “Randers” Haddox. Haddox had limped preflop and Little checked the big blind. On the J
7
6
board both players checked and with the K
turn Haddox took a 5,200 chip stab at the pot and was called. On the 5
river both players again checked and Little’s 8
6
was good enough to take the very small pot.
