Doubling Up and Heading Out Early On

We’ve already heard about a couple of players making early exits from Event #4. We saw Luke “IWEARGOGGLES” Staudenmaier headed for the front door and Mohsin “chicagocards1″ Charania told us that Faraz “The Toilet-0″ Jaka ran his pocket kings into pocket aces early in Level 1 to bust out less than half an hour after the event started. Marco “CrazyMarco” Johnson, Maria “Maridu” Mayrinck and Scott “SCTrojans” Freeman were some other early exits. We missed the hand that sent Johnson to the rail, but players at his table told us that he flopped a full house but his opponent made a bigger full house on the river.
Gary “GB2005″ Bogdanski (pictured at left) was the one holding pocket aces in a hand that doubled him up early in play. He filled us in on the hand, telling us he and another player got it all-in on an A-8-7 board with two diamonds. Gary held pocket aces and said he expected to see something like 9
T and was a little surprised when his opponent flipped up A-6 for top pair with no flush draw. He is sitting comfortably with 5.5K.
In this big field it is hard to pick out a P5er Feature Table this early on, but a table featuring Full Tilt Pros and P5ers Matt “AllInat420″ Stout and Scott “r_a_y” Montgomery is a definitey possibility, especially considering that their dealer Josh AKA Maskaveli is also a P5er. Another candidate is a table featuring Jeff “yellowsub” Williams (pictured right) and Charania.
