Day One Of PLO Championship Done

Play has ended for the night in the $10K PLO event. About 120 of the original 296 entrants will return tomorrow, with 27 of them eventually making the money.
Chris “Genius28″ Lee (pictured at left) was eliminated during the final level of play, as was Tom “durrrr” Dwan.
Matt “mattg1983″ Graham was nearly out the door as well, but a fortunate river has him returning tomorrow with a big stack.

on the turn. The player in seat seven and Graham had almost identical chip stacks when seat seven put out a bet. When we joined the action, Graham was thinking about his next action. He eventually decided to go all in, asking his opponent immediately if he had a set.
The answer was apparently yes, the cards were mucked very quickly but we think the other player showed KK6-X and the table talk later confirmed he had a set of kings. Graham was behind with his AKQ7, but the J on the river completed his straight and saved him from elimination.
Other players returning for the 2 p.m. restart tomorrow include, Mike “SirWatts” Watson (113.4K), Matt “Plattsburgh” Vengrin (59.9K), and Shawn “sbuck21″ Buchanan (71.3K).
