We’ve got a new $1.5K NLHE event kickstarting today at noon where a good 1,500 people will show up at noon and half of them will be gone by four.  Best of luck to all you P5ers–we hope you survive the carnage and make it to dinner break.  Some of the players we’ve spotted in the field ready to brave the storm are Matt “All In At 420″ Stout, Ari Engel, Joe “ender555″ Ebanks, Derek “arods33″ Buonano, Eric “highlite11″ Nagel, and Jon “sketchy1″ Eaton.

Also kicking off at 12PM?  The final heads-up showdown between Leo “SuperfluousMan” Wolpert and John Duthie for the title of 2009 WSOP Heads-Up No Limit Hold’em Champion. 

At 1PM the $1.5K HORSE will resume its final day of play.  Fabrice Soulier leads the chip counts of the 23 remaining players with just over 356K in chips, but Shannon Shorr is hot on his heels with 323K.  Lana Maier of Cardrunners and Bryan Micon are also still alive in the event.

One of the three events restarting at 2PM are the final table of Event #30, the $2.5K PLO featuring P5er Rami “arbianight” Boukai, John Juanda, and JC Tran.  We’ll keep you posted on whether or not Boukai can join the ranks of Phil Ivey and Brock “t_soprano” Parker as a two-time 2009 WSOP bracelet winner.  

The second event starting at 2PM is Day 2 of the $2K NLHE event.  Official chip counts are in and Peter “Nordberg” Feldman is sitting in 4th position of the 220 remaining players.  Other notable big stacks in the field include Luke “IWEARGOGGLES” Staudenmaier and Brett “threatnasty” Switzer.

The $10K LHE Championship will also resume play at 2PM.  The 116 players have a long day ahead of them as they try to play down to the final table.  We’re guessing more than likely they’ll just stop play at 3AM.
