With 10 minutes remaining in the third level of Day 4 tournament director Jack Effel announced that play would be halted for the day. The remaining players didn’t even reach their dinner break. That should give you an idea of how fast players were eliminated today.
The goal was to reach 400 players by the end of the night but with 407 left in the field the staff didn’t find it neceressary for players to take a dinner break and return to play part of another level. With that, we’ll be returning at Noon on Sunday for Day 5.
Several P5ers survived but Tom “sbrounder” West had an unfortunate end to his Day Four when a player raise to 16K with the blinds at 3K/6K ante 1K, Kara Scott called from middle position, and West moved all-in from the button for an additional 238K. The other player tanked over the decision for several minutes before calling.
“Jacks are good,” Tom said as he turned up T
T
. The other player didn’t have pocket jacks, but he did have A
K
for a classic race situation. The K
6
2
was not kind to West, nor was the 2
and 9
on the river. He was eliminated on the last hand of the night and finished in 408th place.
Joining West on the rail is Julian “wh00sel” Parmann. We missed how he got it all-in with K
3
to another player’s A-J, but needless to say the AJ held and Julian was eliminated just a couple hands before the day came to a close. Carter “ckingusc” King was also eliminated at the end of the day. We believe he and Owen “ocrowe” Crowe got it all-in for Carter’s tournament life on an A-7-X flop with Owen holding A-7 to Carter’s A-10. King failed to make a higher two pair and he was sent home just a little earlier than the rest of the crowd.
Victor “vcwhr666″ Greeley, Mike Sexton, Justin Bonomo and Karec “K-Rock2525″ Terrell were also sent home before the end of the day.
