When we walked up to the table Owen “ocrowe” Crowe’s (pictured at left) pre-flop re-raise was being called by the player in seat seven. We missed the exact amount of the raise, but, with the blinds at 1.5K/3K with an ante of 400, there looked to be at least 40K in the pot already when the flop of Q

was dealt. The player in seat seven checked and Crowe bet 18.5K. The other player called and the turn was the 4
. Seat seven checked again and Crowe bet 45K. His opponent, who had him well covered in chips, then moved all in. Crowe had about 120K behind and decided to lay his hand down.
Crowe chipped back up a short time later at the expense of Cody “thugmoneymkr” Slaubaugh. The blinds had increased to 2K/4K with a 500-chip ante. Crowe raised to 10.5K before the flop and Slaubaugh re-raised to 29.5K. Crowe then moved all in and Crowe made the call with his 9

. Slaubaugh showed A
K
but he couldn’t find any help on the board of T

and was eliminated. With the win, Crowe moved over the 200K-chip mark.
Josh “SDouble” Schlein now has more than 300K in his stack. He added about 100K to that stack after he and another player saw a flop of K
5
3
. Schlein checked and the other player quickly announced “all-in”. The player had around 70K in his stack and there was only 25K or so in the pot. Schlein asked for an approximate count, stood, sat, and deliberated for a few minutes. Eventually he decided to call with Q
Q
, which, turns out, was way ahead of his opponent’s 8
T
. The turn and river came 6
and then 5
, which gave Josh the massive pot and sent the other player packing.
Jason “JP_OSU” Potter and Chris “herdgolf” Tipper (pictured at right) have also been eliminated. Potter told us that he shoved his last 17 big blinds after one player at his table limped and another player called him with pocket kings. Potter couldn’t improve and was eliminated.
Over at another table, action folded around to Michael “benvo123″ Benvenuti who limped in the small blind. The player in the big blind checked and the flop was 5

4
. Benvenuti bet 5K and the other player called. The turn was the 2
and both players checked. The river was the 3
. Benvenuti checked again and the big blind bet 12K. Benvenuti thought for a bit before showing a four and folding. Benvenuti still have an above-average chip stack of 130K.
Other chip counts:
Michael “Gags30″ Gagliano - 190K
Alex Jacob - 155K
Shaun “Cougars4444″ Hendrickson - 70K
Scott “dorinvandy” Dorin - 40K
WSOP 2009 Event #52 $3K NLHE TRIPLE CHANCE
Event #52 is back from break and Glenn “TheGfactor” McCaffrey caught an early double up. McCaffrey entered the dinner break very short and even with a double up he is still below average. But with the blinds at 200/400/50, 7K is enough to make a little noise. Glenn’s good friend Josh “JBT449″ Bergman was eliminated after returning from break though. Josh got it in way ahead holding tens against an opponent’s nines, but a nine on the board gave his opponent a set and sent him to the rail.
Andy “BadgerPro” Schultz and Mike “SirWatts” Watson have also been eliminated.
