Corkins Busts Khan then Little by Court on 03.18.09, 5:28 pm

Hoyt Corkins finished up the second level of the day strong busting both Hevad “RainKhan” Khan and Jonathan “FieryJustice” LittleAditya “Intervention” Agarwal, Adam “Roothlus” Levy, Amit “Amak316″ Makhija, Chad “M8kingmoves” Batista, Tim “Tmay420″ West, Garrett “Gbecks” Beckman and Zach “CrazyZachary” Clark have all been eliminated as well.  Roughly 90 players made it through the 2nd level of day 2 with 12 bounties still in the tournament.

Khan and Corkins were raising back and forth on a T54 flop where it looked like Hoyt had made it 30k more over a bet from Khan and then Hevad moved all in for 41,900 more on top of Hoyt’s bet.  Corkins thought for a while before making the call with the J8 for a flush draw.  He was up against the bigger flush draw of Khan though with his K3 leaving Hoyt needing to pair one of his cards and for the flush not to come.  The J on the turn did the trick, and with the 9 on the river Khan was eliminated after being all in with a great chance to double up.

A few hands later Hoyt had Little (right) all in on a flop of K-3-3 with his A3 up against the A4 of Little for a flush draw.  There was no diamond for Little and his bounty went to Corkins who jumped up in chips late in the level.  Joe Sebok was also able to gain some chips in the second level, doubling up with AK against pocket queens all in preflop.  Sebok hit a king to double his stack to around 120k.  Then right at the beginning of the third level Sebok was able to bust Howard Lederer with pocket jacks against Howard’s pocket tens, collecting a $5k bounty and adding more chips to his stack.

Other players have been building up their stacks as well.  Tyler “Brainwash” Cornell finished the level right around the 200k mark and Vivek “Psyduck” Rajkumar (left) was able to pad his stack in a big pot against Danny Alaei.  Vivek had opened from the button for 3,100 and Freddy Deeb called from the small blind.  Alaei raised to 13k from the big blind and Vivek put in another bet to 32k.  Alaei called and the flop came Q935.  Both players checked the flop, taking their time to decide what to do as the room cleared out for break.  With the 5 turn Danny led out for 36k and after a few moments and a look back at his cards Vivek moved all in for what looked to be around 140k more.  Both he and Danny were deep, and Danny decided to toss his hand in without ever asking for a count of Vivek’s all in bet.

Levy was eliminated when a player 4-bet all in with pocket sixes against him preflop.  Adam called with AK and the sixes held up to win a sizeable pot.  At the same table Faraz “The-toilet” Jaka was able to pick up a $5k bounty by busting Eli Elezra.  Eli moved all in from under the gun for 15,600 and Jaka called.  The player in the big blind also called.  On the 933 flop Jaka led out with a bet enough to put the 3rd player in the pot all in and it was enough to push the other player out of the pot leaving Jaka and his pocket tens heads up with Elezra who had pocket fours.  The board filled out with the 7 and the T, making Eli a four flush in spades but at the same timing giving Jaka a full house and the pot.  On the break Mohsin “ChicagoCards1″ Charania’s table was broken and he was moved into the seat vacated by Elezra, on the immediate left of Jaka.
