The first level of day 2 is complete and the next order of business at the Festa al Lago World Poker Tour event is to get rid of the green 25 denomination chips. After the color up play will resume for the 2nd level of the day and the 7th overall level of play. Late registration is still open with a few players taking fresh 60k stacks into the action on day 2. Phil Hellmuth was just spotted wandering around holding a handful of hundreds that is likely his $15,000 tournament buy in. If he comes into the action during the 7th level he will be joining in with 60k chips and blinds of 500 / 1,000 and a 100 chip ante.
While some players are still signing up other are making plans for what to do now that they are out of the tournament. Steve “thorladen” Weinstein was sent to the rail early on after starting the day with almost 100k in chips. Jason “treysfull21″ Mercier dusted of his 78k day starting chips in short order too, so the chips are moving around out there.
Marco “CrazyMarco” Johnson lost the last hand of the level at his table when his pocket aces ran into quad fives. At the table with Marco are Steve “MrTimCaum” O’Dwyer, Phil Ivey, Barry “barryg1″ Greenstein and Matt “All In At 420″ Stout with O’Dwyer having Ivey on his direct left, then Marco, then Barry and then 2 seats over Stout.
Around the room a lot of stacks are getting short. Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy moved all in after an open and a call and was able to pick up a pot to chip up to 30k while Christian “charder” Harder is just below that amount with 27k. Shawn “jordankickz” Busse started the day with under 15k and has chipped up slightly but still only has around 23k.
Alvin “alsmooth” Zeidenfeld started the day with 66k but has dropped down into the danger zone after a rough level including flopping what he called a “world draw” and missing.
