Phil “USCPhildo” Collins just got a lot richer in the $1.5K pot-limit hold’em event.
First, Collins doubled through David “The Maven” Chicotsky with pocket aces against Chicotsky’s K

Then a little while later he played a big pot with Jason “TheMasterJ33″ Dewitt. When we caught up with the action Collins had just bet 8.5K out of the small blind position on a flop of Q

. Dewitt, who was seated directly to Collins’ left, then raised to 23K. Phil decided to re-pot after some. There was some confusion as to the size of the raise (as is pretty common in pot-limit events) but Collins slid an extra 43K into the pot. However, when Dewitt raised again and put Collins all in all confusion was cleared up. Collins made the call and was in for all in for a total of 79K. Other players at the table were surprised when the two hands were turned up:

Dewitt: A

The turn 4
and the river T
were no help to Dewitt and Collins doubled up to 226K. Dewitt slipped to about 150K.
The players have just re-drawn for seats with 18 players remaining. They will continue to play tonight until the final table of nine has been reached or until 3 a.m.
Chicotsky (80K), David “DocSands” Sands (100K) and Ravi “govshark2″ Raghaven (250K) are also still in the running for the bracelet.

WSOP 2009 Event #21 $3K HORSE
Jon “FatalError” Aguiar was on life support in Event #21 $3K HORSE for quite some time. After scooping a pot in Omaha Hi/Lo with K

though, Aguiar gained a little ground. Jon wasn’t so fortunate when the game changed, and took a crippling hit in razz. He bricked with a K
on sixth street and an undisclosed card on seventh street, angrily mucking his cards. Jon was busted the next hand after being left with only 5K in chips.
Barry Greenstein is floating around average with 55K. He chopped half of a three-way pot with A-2-6-7 on a 5

board. Barry took the low, and an opponent holding K-K-X-X grabbed the high. Gavin Smith is above average. Smith just took a razz pot from P5er Andre “aakkari” Akkari, and sits over 80K. Akkari dropped below 60K.
