“If I win this tournament, my liver’s going to explode,” J.C. “PrtyPSux” Alvarado (pictured at left) said during the last few hands of the night as the players at his table were enjoying a round of shots. “I’ll be drinking shots till November.”
The ESPN cameras came over to catch the fun, prompting Antonio Esfandiari to explain why he wasn’t participating. Esfandiari apparently has bet with Andrew Robl that prevents him from drinking during the World Series. Every time he drinks he has to pay Robl $1,000, so he has been avoiding alcohol this summer.
Paul “comeonphish” Liu was also at the table and he and Alvarado got involved in a hand just after the drinks were delivered.
