With the blinds at 150/300 during the last level of the Main Event Day 1B, Nathan “darkcheck_” Tuthill (pictured left) made a re-raise to 2.4K from the small blind and the player on the button called. The flop was QT3. Tuthill bet 3.2K and the button called. The turn was the 3. Tuthill checked, the button bet 5K and Tuthill folded.

A short time later the same two players got involved in a much bigger pot. The board read J544 on the turn and Tuthill bet 5.6K with between 16 and 17K behind. His opponent made the call and the river was a 10. The other player led out for 10K and Tuthill went into the tank, eventually just calling the 10K bet. Seat five turned over KK but Tuthill had him beat with his AA. After the hand, Tuthill is back up to almost 50K.

Joe Sebok won a pot during the past level that increased his stack well above the tournament average. We heard the dealer at his table announce that there was an all in on a J88 flop, Sebok holding 5[4h} and his opponent with KK. The T turn was no help to Sebok, who would be crippled if he lost the pot, but the A on the river gave him his flush and sent an aggravated player to the rail. Sebok is up to 65K, almost twice the average.

Clark “snake8484″ Hamagami doubled during the last level with pocket kings against another players A-K. We missed the action but saw that Hamagami’s has chipped back up to 28K. He has been on a short stack all day, but with that pot he is almost back to where he started.

Jeff “YoungSupremacy” Hakim (pictured right) continues to chip up as the day progresses. We were in the Green Section grabbing chip counts when we initially marked Hakim at 45K. Before leaving, we saw Jeff rake in a nice sized pot so we stopped by to update our original number. Hakim’s stack had ballooned to 65K while our back was turned!
