Recent WPT Champion Alexandre “Allingomes” Gomes has been eliminated from the tourney, but there are still WPT champions left in the field.  Allen “AawwNutz” Carter (pictured) is one of the WPT title holders that still has a shot here at the Legends of Poker.  Carter was recently all in for 18,775 on top of the roughly 5k he already had in the pot.  After a series of raises between 3 players Carter ended up moving in for the extra 18,775 and another player came over the top for around 60k.  The third player bowed out and Carter said something along the lines of “I hope we have the same hand.”

They did and Carter’s AK was good enough to chop the pot with the other players AK though the 8 on the turn did put out a diamond flush draw.  The river was a spade and the dealer chopped up the pot, sending a total of around 27k chips to Carter.

Chad “M8kingmoves” Batista, Matt “All In At 420″ Stout
, and Brent “bhanks11″ Hanks are still looking for their first WPT title, and none will be finding it at the Legends of Poker this year.  All three were recently eliminated from the tournament.  Former WPT champion Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little lost a few pots and is down to 50k but still very much in the tournament.

Bryan “badbeatninja” Devonshire got off to a quick start yesterday before dropping slightly at the end of the day.  Day 2 has started off on a solid note for Devo though and he has cracked the 100k mark early in the day.  November Niner Steven Begleiter started the day with a hefty chip lead and still leads the field though his stack has been pretty stagnant right around the 235k he started the day with.
