Campbell Sends Slaubaugh Packing by AdamJ on 06.04.08, 4:31 pm

The Amazon room was filled players for the 2k NL WSOP Event #7. Given the size of the field, stacked tables were few and far between.

One of the more interesting tables featured a handful of chip movers in Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy, Mark Seif, and John Phan.

Josephy’s stack was down to 1800 of the initial 4k starting stack in the 50-100 level after loosing a hand with top pair and a flush draw to a higher flush draw.

James “POKERPRO33″ Campbell and Cody “Thugmoneymkr” Slaubaugh (pictured at right), both with stacks under 1500, got crossed up early in a reraised pot preflop, resulting in an early exit for Slaubaugh.

With blinds at 25-50, Slaubaugh raised to 175 from the cutoff with KJ. Campbell put Slaubaugh all-in for his last 750 and Slaubaugh called trailing Campbell’s AJ.

The board improved neither player and Slaubaugh was eliminated.

Aaron “aaronbeen” Been is looking to break through after two moderate cashes last summer, and is in search of his first WSOP final table.

With blinds at 50-100, Been defended a late position raise from his big blind. Been checked a QJ8 flop and his opponent checked. The turn brought the 5 and Been bet 500 and his opponent called. The river was the 7 and both players checked, chopping the pot with AQ.
