Campbell First P5er to Leave on Day3 by Brett on 07.10.09, 4:14 pm

James “P0KERPR033″ Campbell came into Day 3 as the P5er with the shortest stack and it didn’t take long for him to get it into play. With blinds at 600/1200 ante 200 Campbell moved all in for his last 9.5K. Two players called his all in, one of which had his remaining chips at risk as well. Campbell’s 54 was up against 66 and AQ and when the board ran out J859A James was sent to the rail just minutes after taking his seat.

Other early eliminations of the day include Jeff “YoungSupremacy” Hakim, Justin “jurollo” Rollo, and Bryan Micon.

Tim “TookURCookie” Lahey is also off to a rough start in the Amazon Room. We caught up with Tim betting 16K on a K72K4 board with about 40K in the pot. His opponent took some time before eventually making the call with QQ. Lahey showed 88 and was left with around 65K after starting Day 3 with 114K.

Nick “FU_15″ Maimone pulled us aside to explain how he pulled a BeL0Wab0Ve and convinced someone to give him 100K in chips. On the very first hand of the day with the blinds at 600/1200 ante 200 a player in early position raised to 3K and two players called. Nick then 3-bet to 13.5K total, the initial raiser and the first caller folded and the second flatter called from the button. The flop came down Q-6-2 with two hearts and Maimone led for 18.5K, which the other player called. Maimone checked when the A hit and on the turn and completed the flush draw and the other player bet out 22.5K. Maimone called and the two saw the river come 8. Nick checked once again and his opponent moved all-in for 65K. Nick had his opponent covered by 70K or so and elected to call with AQ for top two pair. The other player showed 78 for third pair, seven kicker. That took Maimone’s stack up to 300K and he has only been trending upward since then and now has 340K.

Sorel Imper1um” Mizzi is up to 171K after winning a coinflip against a short stack at his table. Mizzi hit the Q on the river and his AQ bested his opponent’s JJ.

Over in the Brasilia Room, Brian “ship_the_perc” Lemke (pictured left) called a raise of 3.6K from the player in seat three from the big blind and the two players saw a flop of KT6. Lemke checked and seat three bet 5K. Lemke made the call and the turn was the K. Both players checked to see the 5 on the river. The player in seat three believed he saw Lemke bet and put out 7K. However, he was informed by the dealer that Lemke had yet to act. Lemke decided to make a bet of 14K and the player in seat three quickly made a raise to 40K. Lemke thought for a short while and made the call. Seat three turned over KT for a full house and Lemke hung his head in disappointment, eventually flashing the K before mucking.

We walked up Jonathan “FatalError” Aguiar’s table on the river with the board reading KTT97. There was at least 45K in the pot when Aguiar’s opponent bet 16K. Aguiar had a little over 50K in his stack and made a raise of 16K more.

“I’ll just call it,” his opponent said. “I have a full house.”

Aguiar sunk down in his seat as the other player showed his T9. He mucked his hand but told the table he had A-10.

Other PocketFivers across the room have been picking up chips without showdowns.

Jesse “thor” Haabak called a raise of 3.6K from the big blind and the flop was T42. Haabak checked and his opponent bet 4K. Haabak then raised to 6.2K more. The other player tanked, but ended up releasing his hand.

Jordan “Octavian_C” Rich’s did his re-raising before the flop. The player in seat five at his table made it 3.1K and the player in seat six re-raised to 8.6K. Rich then made it 18K more and the other players at the table couldn’t get their cards into the muck fast enough.
