On our way over to the Miranda Room to grab chips counts from the $1.5K Six-handed event we caught up with Shawn “sbuck21″ Buchanan and Jon “pokertrip” Friedberg mixing it up. With blinds at 100/200, Buchanan raised to 500 from middle position and Friedberg raised to 1400 out of the blinds. Buchanan called and the two saw a flop of 6
52 and both checked. The 9 came on the turn and both checked again. The river brought the T
and Buchanan led out for 1600. Friedberg paused and then raised to 3700. Buchanan asked for a count and didn’t take too long before making the call and flipping over AQ for a flush. Friedberg mucked and his stack dipped to around 12K.
Buchanan was involved with a big pot just minutes earlier with Anthony “negativeROI” DeCrow. Buchanan flopped a straight with 9-10 on a K
QJ board while DeCrow had flopped top two pair. Buchanan’s straight held and he added 7K to his stack, which stands at 23K. DeCrow has 12.5K at the break.
Tom “titantom32″Â Braband was seen heading into the registration room to sign up for this evening’s $2.5K PL Holdem event. According to the player that knocked him out of the $1.5K Six-handed event, Braband re-shoved over a late position raise for 3600 with AT suited and was called by pocket eights. The pair held and Braband was eliminated.
Blair “blur5f6″ Hinkle is seated at a ridiculous table with David “Chino” Rheem and Amnon Fillipi and action has been crazy so far. We saw Hinkle raise to 525 and the player on the button raised to 1650. Rheem tanked before folding and Hinkle reraised to 6000. The button quickly folded and Hinkle showed the 2. “I was going to do that,” Rheem said as Hinkle raked in the pot.

Speaking of chip counts, here’s a few we grabbed from the $1.5K NLHE as the bubble burst. The top 297 made the money. Shaun Deeb is still sporting a big stack with close to 100K.Â

WSOP Event #5: $1.5K PLO
The Event #5 $1.5K PLO final table is down to seven, and all four PocketFivers are alive. Kevin “Kice32″ Iacofano leads the pack with 900K, but Steve “PiKappRaider” Burkholder is biting his heels with 880K. Matt “Hazards21″ Giannetti and Jason “treysfull21″ Mercier need to make some moves, sitting with 360K and 285K respectively. All four are fighter for the fifth bracelet awarded at this year’s WSOP!
