Usually the money bubble is a stage of tournaments where players like Vivek “Psyduck” Rajkumar and Faraz “The-toilet” Jaka excel. Here at Bay 101 things didn’t go so well for either, though both did make it into the money. Vivek kept running into Luis Velador and by the time the money bubble was over he was down to around 140k. Jaka took a big hit and dropped all the way down to below 60k, losing a lot of chips when his large bet on the river ran into a player with top set.
The field has now been reduced to the final 45 after a relatively lengthy bout of hand for hand play and everyone left is guaranteed at least $12,500 for their efforts. Play will continue tonight until the final 36 is reached and then those players will return tomorrow to play down to the final 6.
Chip counts after the money bubble (blinds at 1,500 / 3,000 with a 500 ante):
Tyler “Brainwash” Cornell - 400k
Joe Sebok - 315k
Vivek “Psyduck” Rajkumar - 140k (right)
Mohsin “ChicagoCards1″ Charania - 110k
Marco “CrazyMarco” Johnson - 80k
Faraz “The-toilet” Jaka - 60k
