We’re still not halfway through the day and the past level has been an eventful one. The 27-person money bubble burst when Hasan Habib busted out at the hands of JeremyBrown in 28th place. Play paused as the final three tables redrew seats and the remainder of the 600/1,200 ante 1,000 played out with two more eliminations, including Amit “amak316” Makhija (pictured right).
Makhija busted out in 26th place when Matthew Waxman opened for a raise in middle position and action folded to Makhija in the big blind. He moved all-in for around 200,000 chips and Waxman quickly called, tabling 7

and the pocket pair prevailed as the board ran out 8

. Makhija made his exit with an additional $28,569 in his pocket.
Steve “MrTimCaum” O’Dwyer was able to maintain his stack this level thanks to a nice pot against Mike “SowersUNCC” Sowers and Curt Kohlberg. Sowers raised in late position, O’Dwyer called from the button and Kohlberg called out of the big blind. The flop fell 7

and Kohlberg checked. Sowers bet out 82,000 and O’Dwyer thought briefly before moving all-in. Kohlberg and Sowers both folded quickly and O’Dwyer chipped up to 620,000. After the hand, Sowers was down to 480,000.
Matt “AllInAt420” Stout is also seated at the table featuring O’Dwyer and Sowers and he recently tangled with Matthew Waxman in a large pot. Preflop Stout raised to 32,000 and Waxman called from middle position. Kohlberg called form the button and the trio saw a flop of K

. Stout led out for 64,000, Waxman raised to 155,000 total and Kohlberg folded. Stout announced he was all-in for around 300,000 more and Waxman got an exact count before tossing his cards away. Stout finished the level with around 720,000.
The third level of the day is now underway and there are still 25 players remaining in the field. Blinds are now up to 8,00/16,000 ante 2,000.
