Bubble bursts in Event #3 by Rachel on 05.30.09, 11:04 pm

Several PocketFivers made it into the money during the last level of Event #3, the $1500 Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better tournament. The players have now gone on dinner break with 86 players remaining.

Jordan “Octavian_C” Rich (pictured at right), who is seated to the left of Erick Lindgren and Freddy Deeb, has 44K at the break. He was involved in a three-way pot with Deeb a short time ago with the blinds at 1K/2K and the limits at 2K/4K.

The player in second position called 2K before the flop, Deeb completed the small blind and Rich checked. The flop was AT7. Rich check-called a 2K bet by original limper after Deeb folded. The turn was the 8. Rich led out for 4K and his opponent called. The river was the Q and Rich again bet 4K and was called. He turned over J763 for a seven-high flush and A8763 low and scooped the pot.

Senovio “Dorsal Fin” Ramirez (pictured at left) is also in the money and has 35K in chips. He scooped a pot recently with his AK53 on a 6429J board.

Chris “SKOAL” Falconer has gotten short on chips since the money bubble burst. Falconer said he was sitting with 24K in the small blind when he was dealt A-A-X-X. He raised and the big blind called. The flop came KJT. Falconer said he bet every street and his opponent called all the way. His opponent tabled 5-2-X-X, and scooped the pot with a five high flush. Falconer sits with 8.5K at break.

Brock “t_soprano” Parker is also short after losing a big three-way pot in the final hand before break. He appeared to have about 12K left after the loss.

Marion “MyBlueDog” Busch and Annie Duke both have above-average chip stacks of about 60K right now.
