Bubble Bursts

The bubble bursted in Event #56 and all of the remaining players will receive a minimum of $9,159.
David “raptor517″ Benefield was eliminated just before the bubble bursted. Benefield was all in pre-flop holding AJ against Ryan “dank stax” Milisits’ QQ. The flop fell jack high, but neither the turn nor the ace improved David’s hand and he was eliminated.
Shannon Shorr (pictured left) was lucky enough to knockout a player at an adjacent table. Shorr’s opponent opened to 8K with the blinds at 1.2K/2.4K/300 and when action folded to Shannon in the big blind he re-raised all in. His opponent snap called and the cards were tabled:

The dealer burned a card and flopped T6
2 giving Shorr a set of sixes. The 3 on the turn was a blank and so to was the K on the river. There was a moment of awkward silence after Shorr’s opponent left the table. Everyone knew how bad of a beat it was, but nothing was said. Finally Shannon broke the silence.
“That might have been bad,” he said with a grin from ear to ear.
Over at Table 64 Yevgeniy “atimos” Timoshenko and Lars Bonding butt heads for the umpteenth time. “These two are crazy,” Josh “brikdog24″ Brikis told us. “They might as well go and play heads-up somewhere.”
With the board reading 442T, Bonding led out for about 20K. Timoshenko made the call and the T fell on the river. Bonding checked and Yevgeniy slowly bet 57.6K. Lars went deep into the tank. He threw his hands over his face and sat still for a good five to six minutes. The four other players had left the table when Bonding finally announced call. Timoshenko rolled over QT for tens full and Lars flashed the 4 before mucking. Yevgeniy raked in the pot and is now well over 200K.
