The World Poker Tour has been very good to Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little. He has 2 titles, a couple other deep runs, a slew of cashes and multiple millions in earnings. The Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic won’t be a tournament he adds to his list of successes. Little was eliminated in the early going here at the Bellagio after the losing end of a few big hands.
Little lost pots with pocket jacks on a ragged flop, with pocket aces against Mike “SirWatts” Watson who had AK but made trips and then was eliminated when his flopped top two pair lost to the top pair and flush draw of Soheil Shamseddin. Had he won that pot he would have been back up in the range of the starting stack but instead was sidelined before the tournament was hardly up and running.
Jeff Madsen was also on the verge of elimination, all in with a flush draw against top pair but the heart hit to make his flush and Madsen was able to double back to around 50k. The blinds are only 100 / 200 but players are finding ways to play some big pots.
