The second and final starting day of the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic has turned out a significantly larger number of players than the first day, pushing the field to over 470 total entrants, with registration still open for a little while longer for any late arrivers or deciders, or for those trying out the craps table to satellite into the event.
Day 1A ended up with just over 200 players, while today’s field is at 270 now and could get a little larger by the end of the first level. Players are again spread between the Fontana Lounge and the main poker room, but today the Fontana Lounge is full to capacity and more tables are being used for tournament play in the poker room.
Garrett “GBecks” Beckman, Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little, Matt “Plattsburgh” Vengrin, and Scott “BigRiskky” Clements are among the many players in the field today.
