Bellagio Five Diamond Day 1A

The first starting day of the Bellagio Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic has just kicked off. The players have filled most of the empty seats in the Fontana lounge and players are in the first level with blinds of 50 and 100 with deep starting stacks of 45k.
In the first 20 minutes of play there has already been at least one elimination. Brent “bhanks11″ Hanks (left) was able to eliminate a player in a set over set situation in the very early stages of the tournament. After the huge pot in level 1 Hanks is the chip leader with around 90k.
Other players involved in day 1A action include Devin “TranquilChaos” Porter, Sorel “Imper1ium” Mizzi, Jason “JP_OSU” Potter, Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin, Barry “barryg1″ Greenstein, Joe Sebok, Peter “Nordberg” Feldman, Jon “pokertrip” Friedberg, Ben “bfineman” Fineman, Jeremiah “Believer82″ Vinsant, Luke “IWEARGOGGLES” Staudenmaier, David “Bakes” Baker, Jon “PearlJammer” Turner, Kevin “BeL0WaB0Ve” Saul, Shannon Shorr, Shane “Shaniac” Schleger and more.
Schleger bet 3,200 on the river of a board that was unpaired and 8 high, but with a spade flush being possible. He was min raised to 7,200 and folded. His opponent showed him a king high flush. Joe Sebok also had a decent sized bet out on the river, but both he and the other player in the hand had made the same straight and split the pot for no gain.
With the deep stacks and small blinds many players are seeing a lot of flops but other than the set under set hand there hasn’t been too much postflop battling for pots as of yet.
