Beats Bust Thayer and Peters

Both were in with the best of it, and eliminated from the tournament by the time their respective hands were complete. David “DavidP18″ Peters ran into a hot Jason “JP_OSU” Potter while Thayer “THAY3R” Rasmussen (left) ran into perennially hot David Pham.
Potter had been aggressive, raising a lot of pots and after another player called and Peters raised Potter bet enough to make David decide for the rest of his chips. With pocket queens Peters got his chips in the middle and was up against the A-J of Potter. An ace hit the board, continuing to add to Potter’s stack and giving Peters (below right) another bad beat story with pocket queens. He was eliminated from the WSOP Main Event this year very close to the money bubble when his pocket queens fell to 9-6 suited.
Thayer Rasmussen flopped a straight on a Q-J-T board with his AK and ended up all in against David Pham who had flopped a set of tens. The river paired the jack, and even flopping the nuts wasn’t enough to overcome The Dragon. Pham had Thayer covered so he has been eliminated from the tournament.
Kevin “BeL0WaB0Ve” Saul recently had a flush under flush hand that cost him a 40k pot, but even after losing the hand he still has 90k and is in good shape. Saul had the king high flush while his opponent held the A
Q for the ace high flush.
