We missed the hand, but heard the commotion as Eric “basebaldy Baldwin (pictured right) and another player got it all-in on a K

flop for a massive 612K chip pot. The other player tabled T
T
for middle set, which Baldwin had bested with his K
K
. The K
on the turn left the other player drawing dead and once the stacks were counted down, it was determined that the other player had Eric covered by a mere 21K. Meanwhile, Baldwin has skyrocketed up the chip counts and sits with 612K in front of him.
Joseph “jcada99″ Cada is also making noise in the $1.5K event. He picked off a couple of players late in the day to build his chip stack up to nearly 500K. First, Cada raised to 25K in middle position with the blinds at 5K/10K ante 1K and the player in the small blind moved all-in for 83K total. Cada decided he was priced in and called with 5

. The other player’s pocket queens looked vulnerable after the T

flop and things got even better for Joseph when he picked up a spade draw to go with his straight draw after the 9
hit on the turn. The river A
made Cada’s flush and busted the other player.
Just a few hands after that Cada was at it again. He opened for 25K in early position and the player on the button moved all-in for around 45K more. Cada called with A
J
which held the advantage over the other player’s K
Q
. As the board ran out A

and put a flush out there, some players at the table thought it was a chopped pot until they saw that Cada held the J
for the bigger flush. After that hand, he was up to 490K.
Jonathan “therookieqq9″ Plens (pictured left)also busted a player to chip up. He and another player got it all-in preflop for his opponent’s last 140K with Plens holding K-J to the other player’s A-2. The A-2 held as the flop and turn came 4-3-3-10, but a jack came on the river to give Plens a pair and the pot. He is currently sitting at around 460K.
There are 27 players left in the field and they recently redrew for seats at the final three tables. Some P5ers were not able to last until the redraw. Andrew “tufat23″ Teng played his last hand of the night when he raised to 27K from under the gun with the blinds at 5K/10K ante 1K and got called by the player on his immediate left as well as the player in the big blind. Both the big blind and Teng checked the K

flop and the third player promptly moved all-in for approximately 205K. The player in the big blind folded quickly, while Teng went in the tank on his decision for some time before calling with pocket jacks. The other player held A
T
for the nut flush draw, which got there when the K
fell on the turn. Teng failed to fill up on the river and was eliminated.
Jared “TheWacoKidd” Hamby joined Teng on the rail shortly before the players combined to the final three tables. We aren’t sure of the details of his elimination hand, but we did see a portion of one hand in which Jared lost a good chunk of his stack. With the board reading Q
J

A

Hamby checked from under the gun and his opponent on the button bet 124K into a pot of approximately 200K. Jared thought momentarily before quietly saying “call.” The other player turned up K
T
for a Broadway straight and Hamby mucked. Later he told us he held A-J for two pair.
WSOP 2009 Event #33: $10K LHE Championship
Pat “TorontoToro” Pezzin made a valiant effort in a heads-up battle with Greg “FBT” Mueller but came up short in a bid for his first WSOP bracelet in the $10K LHE World Championship. With just over four big bets left in his stack, Pezzin and Mueller saw a flop of K

2
. Pezzin bet, Mueller raised and Pezzin called off the rest of his stack with just ten-high, which trailed Mueller’s pair of fives. Pezzin was unable to improve and he walked away with $285,196.
