Mizzi Eliminated; Baker Heats Up

Just one level after winning a monster pot to put him over the million chip mark David “Bakes” Baker busted another player as play wound down for the evening. Neil Chris was the bubble boy for the event and Vanessa Rousso was knocked out shortly after that. Baker sent Sorel “Imper1um” Mizzi (pictured left) packing when they got it all-in preflop with Sorel holding queens to David’s A-K. Sorel’s queens looked good after the 5-4-3 flop, but a king on the turn gave Baker the lead and the ace on the river shipped him the humongous pot. Official chip counts aren’t in just yet, but with 2.367 million chips, he is likely one of the top five in the chip counts. Meanwhile, Mizzi finished in 25th place for $71,858.
Others towards the top of the leaderboard include likely chip leader Justin Bonomo (2.678 million), Lex “RasZi” Veldhuis (2.1 million), and Greg Raymer. Here are a few selected chip counts we grabbed as players bagged and tagged their chips at the end of the night:

on the turn, and the river was K. This time Clements led out for 1,200 and his opponent folded. Clements looked to have about 6K in chips at last check.
Bobby “Pupkin” Crosby was also seated at Clements’ table. He was short-stacked but managed to split a pot with his A82Q on a board of KJ5T
K when his opponent also turned up AQ. He told us he has split several spots since moving to the new table and can’t seem to scoop a big pot to double up. He is current;y sitting with around 5K
