Amanda “MandyB” Baker was looking for a spot to double up this evening and found one just before Level 8 came to a close. With blinds at 400/800 ante 100 a player at her table raised to 3.1K and Baker moved all in for 18K total. The player called and Mandy was in a standard coinflip situation, her AK against pocket queens. The board ran out 8529T, giving Baker a flush on the river and increasing her stack to 37K. Unfortunately, she was eliminated a short while later. Baker put her stack back in the middle with AQ and was up against an opponent’s pocket jacks. The jacks held and Amanda’s Main Event came to a close.

The last time we checked on Stephane “Foutight” Bisson he told us he had 60K in chips, but a bad beat has him struggling to stay alive.

Bisson told us the first player to act before the flop made and raise and he just called in middle position with pocket queens. The small blind then moved all in and after much thought the original raiser called. Bisson said he was confident that his queens were good and made the call. The small blind showed pocket jacks and the other player showed pocket eight, but a jack fell on the board and Bisson was crippled to 10K. He said he’s been all in multiple times, most recently against Chris “MacDad22″ MacFarland. He hasn’t gotten any callers but winning the blind and antes has him up to 20K. MacFarland, who is sitting to Bisson’s right, has 90K.

Nick “fu_15″ Maimone and the player in seat two have been frequent opponents, with Maimone on the short end of the battle for now.

First, Maimone bet 2.1K on a flop of 883 and the player in seat two raised 6K more. Maimone called and the turn was the 2. Seat two led out for 11K and Maimone called. The river was the 4 and both players checked. Seat two turned over A6, which wasn’t good enough to beat Maimone’s A4 after the river.

A short time later the same players saw a flop of 764. Seat two bet 4K and Maimone made it 15K. Seat two then moved all in for 37.6K more and Maimone called with 9T. His opponent held QQ. Maimone had plenty of outs with his straight and flush draw but the turn was the 4 and the river was the 7, dropping Maimone down to 90K.

A man seated at Karec “K-Rock2525″ Terrell’s table has attracted a ton of media attention today. Thus, when the man was all in, the cameras rushed to the table to catch the hand. Luckily we were nearby and poked our heads in to see that Karec had him all in and in trouble. The board read T849 and Terrell had TT sitting in front of him. His opponent had QQ and was eliminated when the 8 fell on the river. The man bid farewell and hit the rail.

Joe Sebok had a rough level, but after The Cub relocated to the Blue Section of the Amazon Room he gained some chips back. In one hand a player opened to 3K from early position with the blinds at 400/800/100. Action folded to Sebok on the small blind and he called. The big blind folded and the dealer flopped T94. Joe checked and his came out firing with a 10K bet. Sebok took a moment but eventually called. The J turned and Joe again checked.

“Same bet,” said the man as he cooly tossed two orange chips in the middle.

Sebok cut out ten yellow 1K chips and slid them forward. Both players checked the T on the river and Joe’s opponent opened AK for ace high. Seebok tabled QJ for a pair of jacks and was awarded the pot pushing him back up to 95K.

Matt “Hazards21″ Gianetti tried to take a pot off an opponent over in the Green Section. His attempt failed though when his opponent made a crying call with top pair. Gianetti showed just ace high and slipped to 25K.

David “doubledave22″ D’Alesandro has chipped up to 165K and Jordan “scarface_79″ Smith has crossed over the 100K-mark as well with what looks to be about 130K in front of him.
