They are down to two tables in the $2K mixed pot-limit hold’em and Ohama tournament. Action had been incredibly hard to come by over the last hour or so as the players played short-handed at three tables, but Rami “arbianight” Boukai (pictured at left) just did his part to change that.
After one player had already limped, Boukai just called the 4K big blind on the button during the latest round of Omaha. The small blind limped as well and the big blind checked. The flop was {9c)9

. The small blind checked as the flop was being dealt and the next two players followed suit. Boukai then bet 8K and only the small blind called. The turn was the A
. Again the small blind checked and Rami bet 22K. The other player then make a pot-size re-raise to about 90K, and Boukai just called. The river was the 4
. The small blind immediately moved all in, and Boukai snap-called.

Boukai had turned a full house, nines full of aces, while his opponent had rivered his full house, nines full of fours. After the pot, Boukai estimated that his stack was now at 530K. We had estimated at his stack was right around 300K before the hand. Boukai now has one of the biggest stacks in the field.
Before the player re-drew after reaching 18 players, Hevad Khan, Amit “amak316″ Makhija and Jamie “TheChronic420″ Rosen were seated in three consecutive seats at one table. The action was mostly limited to raise-and-take it and very small pots. Makhija and Rosen are now seated at the same table as Boukai and Ben Grundy while Khan is over at the other table.
Khan has a short stack of 80K while Rosen has 230K and Makhija has 142K.
WSOP EVENT #12: $10K MIXED
Event #12, The 10K World Championship Mixed Tournament, is still rolling in the Brasilia Room. Because the players are so deep, the tournament is moving a bit slower. There are plenty of P5ers still running, and Jimmy “gobboboy” Fricke leads the pack with over 60K in chips. We have recently been informed that Barry Greenstein (pictured at right) has been eliminated, though.
We caught Sorel “Imper1um” Mizzi reading a poker book while the play was in a Seven Card Stud rotation. Sorel might need to study some more, he is still stuck with a starting stack of 30K.
Notable chip counts are as follows:
Daniel Negreanu — 50K
Scott “gunning4you” Seiver — 40K
Steve “MrSmokey1″ Billirakis — 37K
Mike “SirWatts” Watson — 30K
Jon “PearlJammer” Turner — 22K
Noah “fouruhaters” Schwartz — 15K
Justin Bonomo — 13K
Brock “t_soprano” Parker — 10K
WSOP EVENT #9: $1.5K NLHE 6-HANDED
Both David “Bakes” Baker and Ben “98 mute” Yerushalaim have been eliminated from the $1.5K six-handed NLHE event. Baker was knocked out in 26th, winning $9,021 and Yerushalaim in 17th taking home $15,394. Robert “PlayaPlz” Lipkin is still alive though, floating just under 500K in chips.
WSOP EVENT #11: $2K NLHE
Play has ended for the day in the $2K NLHE tournament. Here are some chip counts we gathered as players were bagging up their stacks:
Michael “Benvo123″ Benvenuti - 53K
Jared “TheWacoKidd” Hamby - 48.8K
Eric “white_mamba” Ladny - 45K
Dan “Wretchy” Martin - 43.1K
Amanda “Mandy B” Baker - 31.8K
Jon “FatalError” Aguair - 31K (pictured at left)
Jason “JP_OSU” Potter - 28.6K
Maria “maridu” Mayrinck - 18.7K
Both Ladny and Martin took an ugly beat toward the end of the night that left their stacks shorter than they might have been. Ladny called another player’s all in with pocket kings, but his opponent A-10 caught up on the river by making a flush. Martin also had a player in pre-flop with his tens against the other person’s A-Q. Martin flopped a set of tens, but again the shorter stack caught up on the river, this time by making a straight.
WSOP EVENT #7: $1.5K NLHE
Mark “markysals1″ Salinaro fell short in his quest for a bracelet. Salinaro shoved all in with 77 and was called by Steve Karp’s AK. Karp hit an ace, and Salinaro was eliminated in fourth place earning $193,343.
