The 2009 World Series of Poker is underway! Many of the world’s most esteemed players have taken their seats in the $40,000 No Limit Hold ‘em special event, which commemorates the Series’ 40th anniversary.
Several online superstars are scattered around the Amazon Room, including Chris “moorman1″ Moorman, Shaun Deeb, Vivek “psyduck” Rajkumar, Shannon Shorr, Jason “treysfull21″ Mercier, Steve “MrSmokey1″ Billirakis and Steve “thorladen ” Weinstein.
Players were given 120,000 chips to start, with blinds beginning at 200/400 and 50 ante. Levels will last 60 minutes for the duration of Day 1, which will end after 10 levels of play are completed.
