After just three levels of play Jack Effel and the tournament staff have sent the players home early once again. We started the day with 407 and the field cut itself in half to end with only 185 players. Those final 185 will return tomorrow at noon to play another five levels or however long it takes to cut the field in half again (just kidding…well, sorta).
Noah “Exclusive” Boeken (pictured left) added even more chips to his already ample chip stack when he and another player got it all-in preflop with Boeken holding pocket aces to his opponent’s pocket queens. The aces held and Boeken busted the player to chip up to 2.2 million. He ended the day with 2.34 million.
One player who won’t be returning tomorrow is Paul “comeonphish” Lieu. We aren’t sure how he was eliminated, but we saw him following a tournament staff member to the cage to pick up his prize money. Judging from who was stacking the chips at his table, we are guessing it was Craig “craigthedeac” Boyd who knocked him out.
Joe “LatestLines2″ Ward (pictured left) stayed out of the way for the most part on Day 5 but he did find a spot to chip up during the last level of the day. We caught up with Joe calling a preflop re-raise and seeing a 7

flop with one other player. His opponent led out for 120K and Ward quickly raised 300K more. He burried his head in his arms as the other player contemplated a decision for over a minute. His opponent eventually decided give it up and Ward added close to 200K to his stack without a showdown. He finished the day with close to 1.6 million.
Billy “Patrolman35″ Kopp had dipped below the two million chip mark, but a small rush at the end of play today got him back over the hump. We watched as it folded around to Kopp in the small blind and he raised to 35K with the blinds at 6K/12K ante 2K. The player in the big blind called and the two players saw a flop of T

. Both players checked the flop and Billy checked again when the K
hit on the turn. His opponent fired out 37K, which Kopp quickly called. The river brought the J
and Billy checked again. The other player counted out 60K, reached back to his stack and added 10K more, then reached again and added an addiitonal orange 5K chip for good measure before pushing out his 75K bet. Kopp clarified the amount, stared his opponent down, and announced “call.” The other player turned up pocket sixes while Billy showed K

for a pair of kings to scoop the pot. Kopp ended the day with 2.1 million.
Our end of day P5er chip leader is once again Matt “mcmatto” Affleck with 2.9 million, but there are several players over the 2 million chip mark including Boeken, Kopp, and Jamie “The New” Robbins. Average stack is 1,053,000 and the blinds will be at 8K/16K ante 2K when play resumes tomorrow.
