Jason “JP_OSU” Potter (left) was able to double through Danny Wong to get back over 10k, but it wasn’t long before his chips were back in the middle. He was in a coinflip situation with pocket jacks against AK and looked like he might go on a double up run like Joe Sebok did just after dinner yesterday to go from less than 10k back to being a contender. Instead, Potter lost the flip and was eliminated from the tournament by Amnon Filippi.
A coinflip also put most of the nails in the coffin for Jonathan “FatalError” Aguiar. Aguiar had Justin Scott all in, with his AK against Scott’s pocket nines, but the nines held up to win the 40k pot for Scott while leaving Aguiar a serious short stack. His chips found there way into a pot soon after, but Aguiar had run into pocket aces, and the bullets were enough to put the final nail in his tourney coffin.
Matt Savage just announced the elimination of crowd favorite Barry “barryg1″ Greenstein. Barry’s charity work and the time he spent living in the Bay area combine to make him one of the most sought out pros by the most intense fan base in all of poker - the San Jose area fans. There is not another stop in tournament poker that brings out fans like those here at Bay 101. Greenstein was eliminated by Josh Arieh who will collect the $5k bounty for busting the Bear.
Other recent eliminations include Blake “Balla-B13″ Cahail and David “DavidP18″ Peters.
