We gave you an long list of chip counts from the $5K NLHE six-max event before the players went on break, but here is some action we saw during the last level before dinner to tide you over until the players get back at around 8:30 p.m. Las Vegas time.
On a flop of 5

, Dani “Ansky” Stern (pictured at left) made a bet of 800 after it was checked to him on the button. Two players folded before the player in seat one raised to 2.2K. Stern made the call and the turn was the K
. Seat one led out for 3.5K and Stern called. The river was the K
. This time seat one bet 4K and Stern made the call after some thought. Seat one turned over 6

for a flopped straight and Stern mucked, leaving himself with about 8K.
Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin has tweeted his bustout from the event. We didn’t see him leave but we did see a couple hands that invariably led to his demise. In one hand Baldwin was all in pre-flop with A
K
to an opponent’s Q

did not help Baldwin and he was left with about 15K. A short while later we walked back up to the table to find Baldwin with another short stack all in before the flop. This time Baldwin held A-Q to the other player’s pocket kings. The door card was an ace but there was a king on the flop as well and Baldwin’s stack got a little shorter.
Across the room, Tom “TitanTom32″ Braband (pictured at right) bet 9.6K on the turn with the board reading 5

T
. His opponent made the call to increase the size of the pot to more than 30K. The river was the J
. Braband took a while to decide what to do before eventually moving his last 19,075 into the middle. His opponent looked pained by the decision, taking a lot of time and shifting back and forth in his seat almost constantly. He decided against a call in the end though and Braband increased his stack to around 65K.
Andy “BKiCe” Seth and Sorel “Imper1um” Mizzi have moved to the same table. We caught the two of them in a hand just before the break. The board read 6

K
. Seth had checked to Mizzi on the river and he bet 6.5K. Seth was still thinking about a call when we joined the action, but it was a call he eventually made. Mizzi tabled 9

and Seth mucked.
Darryll “DFish” Fish is seated just a few tables away. He called a raise to 1K on the button and saw a flop of A

. The other player led out for a bet of 1.4K and Fish called. The turn was the K
. The other player checked, Fish bet 2,650 and the other player called. The river was the K
. Fish’s opponent check to him and after quite a bit of thought Fish bet 3,750. The other player took his time before making the call. Fish showed A
Q
, drawing an expletive from his opponent who flashed an A-J.
WSOP EVENT #53: $1.5K STUD H/L
Zak “traction” Gilbert (pictured at left) has been eliminated in sixth place at the $1.5K Stud Hi-Low final table.
Gilbert earned $24,828 for his finish. He was apparently crippled when tournament director extraordinaire Matt Savage made a better two pair on seventh to beat Gilbert’s queens and fours.
Savage was later eliminated in fifth place, earning $32,465, while former chip leader Chad Brown finished fourth and took home $44,589
David Halpern, the man who eventually eliminated Gilbert, and William Kohler are now playing heads up for the bracelet.
Congratulations to Gilbert for his impressive finish!
WSOP EVENT #52: $3K NLHE TRIPLE CHANCE
Eight players came back from their dinner break in the $3K Triple Chance NLHE event and only seven remain at the final table in the back of the Amazon Room. Among them are Jason “TheMasterJ33″ DeWitt, Michael “Bonzo9876″ Katz and Jason Somerville, who are all still alive and making a push toward their first bracelet and prize of $506,800. DeWitt is second in chips with around 1.6 million, while Katz has 1.2 million and Somerville 400K. They’re all catching chip leader Jorg Piesert, who has 1.9 million in front of him.
